  • New City Hall!

    Several city offices will be closed on Friday, September 11, 2015 to allow for the move to the new City Hall to take place! Offices closed: Community Development, City Manager, HR, Finance, Revenue, Treasurer, Real Estate, IT, Registrar, and Parking.

  • Sewer System Testing Starting Wednesday, August 12

    Public Utilities will be smoke testing the sanitary sewer system in Harrisonburg from August 12 until mid-October.

  • September is National Preparedness Month!

    September is National Preparedness Month and a great time to take these three simple steps to help prepare for emergencies: Make an emergency plan, choose an out-of-town emergency contact, and set aside emergency supplies.

  • New "All in One" City Trash and Recycling Program

    City residents who receive the city’s curbside trash collection services now have an easier way to get rid of their household waste and recycling. Single Stream Collection, also called the “all in one” system, accepts waste and recyclables in the same container.

  • Volunteer at the New City Hall!

    The City is seeking volunteers for the information desk on the first floor of the new City Hall! This is a great opportunity to learn about the local government and help others!
