The City of Harrisonburg is committed to adding bicycle and pedestrian facilities to new projects and to identifying opportunities to improve the bicycle and pedestrian network within the city.
BICYCLE & PEDESTRIAN PLAN PUBLIC INPUT
A Public Input Meeting for citizen input occurred on Tuesday September 29, 2009. Public Comments were due October 16, 2009.
- Draft Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan & Maps (95% Complete)
[3.19 MB] Last Updated: January 25, 2010. Comments on this draft due February 28, 2010. Note: the last two pages are 11"x17" and 17"x22" sizes.
The plan will be adopted concurrently with the next Comprehensvie Plan update/adoption to ensure that the plans are coordinated. We anticipate presenting the plan to Planning Commission in May 2010 and to City Council in June 2010.
