The City Clerk is responsible for attending the Council meetings, recording in the minute book of the Council, keeping a concise and accurate statement of all material proceedings had at such meetings including reference to all ordinances introduced, amounts and purpose of all appropriations, adopted bonds, and resolutions adopted by the Council. The City Clerk shall be the custodian of the city seal. The City Clerk, as the City's official Records Manager, is also responsible for the destruction of city records.
