The City of Harrisonburg, in conjunction with WHSV TV-3 and Rockingham Memorial Hospital, has hired a Car Seat Technician to coordinate all Child Passenger activities.  Cathy Stewart is available at Station 1 - 80 Maryland Ave. Monday through Friday to answer questions and to assist with car seat installations.  Call Cathy at 810-0527 to make an appointment for assistance with car seat installations.   

 

The Harrisonburg Fire Department Museum is open Monday through Friday on the third floor of the Public Safety Building.  The museum, located in the Fire Administrative Offices, is open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Artifacts on display include hose reels, vintage uniforms, pictures and news articles from days gone by.  Visitors are welcome.  If possible, larger groups are asked to make an appointment one week in advance of the visit.  Call 540-432-7703 for more information. 

 

The Harrisonburg Fire Department continues to look for pictures and other artifacts to add to the Fire Department Museum.  Please contact the Administrative Offices for further information at 540-432-7703.
