How do I get to the HR department?
The City of Harrisonburg Human Resources department is located on the second floor of the Municipal Building at 345 S. Main St. Room 207. 

When is open enrollment for benefit changes?
Open enrollment for Health and Dental Insurance changes:  60 day period usually at the end of March to the end of May annually.  Changes becomes effective July 1st.  Pay day deduction begins the first pay in June. 

Open enrollment for Flex Spending Accounts: 60 day period usually at the end of March to the end of May.  Change becomes effective July 1st.  Pay day deduction begins the first pay in July.

When is the Health Benefits Fair?
The Health Benefits Fair is normally held the last Wednesday in April on an annual basis.  The fair is held at the Community Activities Center on Dogwood Drive.  For more information contact Karen Musselman at (540) 432-8930.

When are Employee Service Awards?
The Employee Service Awards are held quarterly as a luncheon with the City Manager.  Employees who have achieved service with the city in 5 year increments will be awarded a certificate, pin, or plaque for the appropriate number of years.
