The Public Works Department is responsible for clearing debris from public roadways. This includes litter, gravel, and accident debris. By removing this debris, the City is actively reducing the sediment and pollutants that flow through the storm drain system and eventually into our streams.
Using Market Street and Main Street as a divider, the Street Division routinely sweeps the city streets in a counter-clockwise rotation. Generally it takes 2 1/2 to 3 months to get all the way through the schedule and back to your street.
