Board Description
The Harrisonburg City Council appoints five commissioners to the Harrisonburg Electric Commission. Commissioners serve a four-year staggered term and can serve for two successive terms. The duties and responsibilities of the commission are listed in the City Code Section 8-1-1 through 8-1-28.

Meetings are scheduled for the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at the Harrisonburg Sheraton Inn - 1400 East Market Street.
