The Administrative Bureau of the Harrisonburg Police Department provides essential law enforcement and public safety services while promoting community involvement and enhancing the quality of life for the citizens and visitors to the City. | Captain Dan Claytor began his career with HPD in 1971 as a dispatcher and in 1974 he was promoted to Police Officer after graduating from the Basic Police Academy. In 1979 he began an extensive career in Criminal Investigations, serving as an Investigator and Commander of the Investigations Division for sixteen years. Since that time he has served as Commander of Operations and Support Services. He currently is the Commander of the Administrative Bureau. |
