The City is considering several roadway reconfiguration projects. Roadway reconfiguration efforts seek to improve safety and operations on roads through modifying the use of the existing pavement to change the number and alignment of lanes.

ADA Transition Plan
The City of Harrisonburg is working on an ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) Transition Plan to form planning methods and document current accessibility deficiencies, to work to make Harrisonburg public facilities ADA accessible.

The City has been awarded $23.8 million from the American Rescue Plan Act to be used to support our community and address needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Draft Capital Improvement Program Posted Online
The draft Capital Improvement Program (CIP) for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 through Fiscal Year 2028-2029 is available online. The CIP is a multi-year production and scheduling of capital projects of $50,000 or greater with an appropriate financing plan to fund these projects.
