Harrisonburg Citizen Academy
The Harrisonburg Citizen Academy is a 13-week program comprised of one 2-hour session per week designed to teach residents about the City and the services it provides. Participants will hear from different departments on their daily operations in a hands-on learning environment.
This program will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and runs from late August through the middle of November. Participants may be required to wear a face mask if visiting a city facility where COVID-19 regulations are still in place, and are welcome to wear one if they wish at all facilities.
All applications for the 2021 session must be received in the City Manager's Office by 5:00pm on Friday, August 13. Applications should be emailed to Michael.Parks@harrisonburgva.gov [1] or mailed to Michael Parks, Harrisonburg City Hall, 409 South Main Street, Harrisonburg, VA 22801
