The Voter Registration Deadline:  May 20, 2019

• At Registrar's Office - 5:00pm  *Check operating hours for DMV or other state designated voter registration agencies authorized to receive voter registration applications.
• By mail - Postmarked by May 20, 2019.
• Online Registration via Virginia Department of Elections website - 11:59pm  *Applications that are required to be printed and delivered to the registrar should be treated as regular mailed in applications (postmarked by May 20, 2019). The May 20, 5:00pm deadline would apply if they are submitted in-person at the Registrar's Office.

In Person Absentee Voting Starts:  April 26, 2019

Last Day to Submit an Absentee Ballot Application by Mail, Fax or E-mail:  June 4, 2019

Last Day to Vote Absentee in Person:  June 8, 2019

The Registrar's Office is open Monday thru Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm and will additionally be open Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 8:00am - 4:00pm for in person absentee voting.

Last Day for Absentee Ballots to be Returned:  June 11, 2019 by 7:00pm 

*Must be returned by mail or in person by the voter. The City of Harrisonburg cannot accept a ballot from another locality! It must be returned to the Registrar's office from which it was received.
