COVID-19 School Bus Safety Guidelines

Last Updated: September 11, 2020

HDPT is committed to providing safe school bus rides to school, even in unprecedented times.  Several guidelines have been put into place to ensure students are as safe as possible aboard HDPT school buses:

  • Masks or face coverings are required to be worn on all school buses and in school vehicles.
  • To ensure social distancing, students should sit only in marked seat.
  • There is limited capacity on school vehicles.

Additionally, below are additional resources to help everyone stay safe and healthy:

  • Virginia Department of Health [2]
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [3]
  • Governor Northam's Executive Order Requiring Face Coverings [4]
