Summer Youth Volleyball League

This league is designed to introduce and develop the basics of volleyball in a non-competitive setting. Participants will be placed on teams and led by volunteer coaches and staff. Fundamentals will be the emphasis, including serving, passing, setting, and attacking. The league will be held on Wednesday/Thursday evenings at the Community Activities Center [1].  All players are required to have knee pads and they must be worn during play.  Email Courtney.Carawan@harrisonburgva.gov [2] or call 540-433-9168 to get more information. 

This program will be open to ages 8-12 (age as of June 1).  The league will split into two age divisions, 8-10 and 11-12.  The program is scheduled to start June 14. Registration opens April 24 and may be done online [3] or in-person at the Athletics Office. The registration fee is $30/player for City Residents, and $40/player for Non-Residents. The deadline to register is May 26.
