Help Plan PurcellPlan Purcell

Are you interested in participating in the redesign of a Harrisonburg Park? Are there new park amenities you would like to see? Are you passionate about preserving and updating existing park features?

Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation is inviting the community to assist with reimagining and redesigning the whole of Purcell Park! The department has hired consultant firm, LSG Landscape Architecture, to provide assistance with developing a Master Plan for Purcell Park.

The Master Plan will include an evaluation of the current site conditions, amenities and constraints, and incorporate community input regarding the redesign and future of the park and its purpose within the Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation park system. Ideas generated by the community and local professionals, especially our youth who utilize Purcell Park's "Kid's Castle" playground, will be helpful as we strive to meet the needs of the community. Join us and share your ideas!
