Curbside Voting is available at all voting precincts on Election Day.
IMPORTANT DATES:
The Voter Registration Deadline: May 26, 2020
- At Registrar's Office - 5:00pm *Check operating hours for DMV or other state designated voter registration agencies authorized to receive voter registration applications.
- By Mail - Postmarked by May 26, 2020.
- Online Registration via Virginia Department of Elections website - 11:59pm *Applications that are required to be printed and delivered to the registrar should be treated as regular mailed in applications (postmarked by May 26, 2020). The May 26, 5:00pm deadline would apply if they are submitted in-person at the Registrar's Office.
In Person Absentee Voting Starts: May 8, 2020 *CURBSIDE ABSENTEE VOTING IS BEING OFFERED - Call the office at 540-432-7707 or knock on the door when you arrive at the main entrance of City Hall at 409 S Main St. Someone will be out to assist you.
Last Day to Apply via Online, Fax, Mail or E-mail for an Absentee Ballot: June 16, 2020
Last Day to Vote Absentee in Person: June 20, 2020
In Person Absentee Voting will be available Monday thru Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm and will additionally be available Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 8:00am - 4:00pm.
Last Day for Absentee Ballots to be Returned by Mail: June 23, 2020 by 7:00pm
*The Ballot can also be returned in person at the Registrar's office but only by the voter.
**Ballots must be returned to the locality from which they were mailed out.
