Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation will begin accepting park shelter reservations in person or online on February 5, 2024. If you have any questions, please call 540-433-2474.
Park shelter reservations must be submitted at least seven (7) days prior to the reservation date.
Cancellations and refund requests must be submitted in writing fourteen (14) days prior to the reserved date. Requests will be reviewed by the Facility Supervisor. Reservations canceled with less than a fourteen (14) day notice will forfeit all fees paid.

Below is a summary of the most common rules and policies of park shelter rentals. If you have any questions, please call the Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation Department at 540-433-2474.
- Reservation signs are posted on the park shelters. Please make sure you have a copy of your receipt on the day of reservation.
- Grills are provided, as well as trash receptacles. Wood/charcoal is not provided. All fires must be out before leaving park property.
- Use of personal grills is prohibited.
- Bounce houses or other inflatable structures may NOT be used on park property.
- Loudspeakers, public address systems, sound amplification systems, or loud musical instruments may NOT be used. Please be respectful of park neighbors and residential areas.
- Park restrooms are available for use between April 8-October 31.
- Water and electricity are available, but not guaranteed at various shelters. There are no park shelter lights.
- NO alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are allowed on park property.
- It is the responsibility of the rental party to leave the park shelter clean and in an orderly condition. City property should not be moved.
