*Residents living inside the city limits will have to bring an I.D. for proof or residency upon each visit.

1st Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta - August 17

Come out and show off your naval skills in this year's Cardboard Boat Regatta. We challenge all amateur boat builders to design, construct, and navigate their boats made entirely of corrugated cardboard across the cool blue seas of Westover Pool.

All boaters must be 8 years or older to participate. Boat crews must have two members, one member steers and paddles the boat, the other member pushes the boat from the starting point. For additional information contact Kristin Lam at 540-434-0571 or Kristin.Lam@harrisonburgva.gov.

Olympic Pool 
(Open in Summer Only)

• 50 meters x 25 yards.
• 3 foot depth at each end and sloping to a depth of 4 feet in the center.
• 10-foot, 12-foot, and 16-foot water slides on the east side of the pool.
• Handicapped accessible in the summer.
• Lap swimming available at limited times.

Diving Pool

• 25 yards x 54 feet.
• 3 1/2 feet depth at north end sloping to depth of 4 1/2 feet at the center and then to 12 1/2 feet at the south end.
• Two 1-meter diving boards at the south end of the pool.
• Heated in the winter to 84F.
• Lap swimming available at limited times (winter only).
• North half of pool open to adults only(summer only).

Tots Pool

• Three 16x16 square foot areas connect by a walkway.
• This pool is for children ages six and under only.

Westover Waves Summer Swim League - Offered in June and July

This is a fun summer league where all levels of swimming are accepted (must be able to swim one length of the pool).  The Westover Waves are known for allowing kids to have fun and compete all at the same time.  Team swim suits are available to order but not required to join.  For more information email westoverwavesteam@gmail.com or visit the Westover Waves Facebook Page.
