Westover Preschool Registration

Registration for Westover Preschool begins June 3rd for the next school year. Children must be 3 or 4 by September 30, 2013 and the fee is $200 for mid-September through mid-May. There is a $25 non refundable deposit due at registration. For additional information call 540-433-9168. This is open to city residents only.

New Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan Study

The Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation is working with Land Planning and Design Associates in a study to develop an updated Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan.  The last study was completed in 2003, and needs updating based on the growth of Harrisonburg, new trends, and new desires. The 2003 Comprehensive Master Plan can be found on the city website for anyone who is interested. 

The mission of the Harrisonburg Department of Parks and Recreation is to enhance the quality of life and meet the needs of every citizen by providing comprehensive leisure service opportunities. The department's mission is also to develop and maintain a safe system of open spaces and public facilities for the use and enjoyment by the community.
