March 25, 2020 - Parks and Recreation outdoor facilities remain open to our community at this time based on recommendations from Governor Northam's office. We continue to urge visitors to follow all state and federal recommendations concerning social distancing while visiting our parks and to make decisions based on what is best for the health and wellness of themselves, their families and our community. The Parks and Recreation Department advises the public to be mindful of recommendations set forth by the CDC when considering the use of playgrounds at this time. We will reassess as more information becomes available, and as we receive future guidance from Gov. Northam's office and the Centers for Disease Control.
While our Parks and Recreation Department advises the public to be mindful of recommendations set forth by the CDC and social distancing recommendations, an optional alternative activity kids may enjoy is our Scavenger Hunt Sheet, an activity that is available, as of now, and may be downloaded here: [84KB] Scavenger Hunt Sheet
