Harrisonburg Parks and Recreation offers a variety of activities for adults age 50 and Wiser! From fitness and mind-body classes, dance lessons, creative learning and more, we strive to provide something for everybody. Keep active mentally, physically and socially by participating in one of our programs.

Come out to the Community Activities Center on Thursdays from 12:00-3:00pm for pickleball. Bring a friend, or come out to meet new players. All equipment is furnished or bring your own. Please call 540-433-9168 a week in advance to ensure court space and equipment. This is a free ongoing program.
Meet your friends at the Morrison Park tennis courts on Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00pm for reserved court time. You can come by the Community Activities Center and check out equipment if needed. For additional information call 540-433-2474. This is a free program that will run during the dates of June 4 - August 27.
Thursday Afternoon Bowling
Enjoy bowling in a relaxed atmosphere where fun is the name of the game. Experienced or non-experienced bowlers are welcome. Bowl for 16 weeks, with a party on the 17th week where prizes are awarded for a number of categories. $8 per person, includes three games, shoes, and a ball. No registration is required. Next sign-up for teams is May 7. This program takes place at Valley Lanes every Thursday from 1:00-3:00pm.
