Sanitary sewer customers are responsible for home or business plumbing up to the connection to the public sewer pipes. Customers are responsible for the installation, to comply with plumbing code, and to provide maintenance or replace as necessary.
Harrisonburg Public Utilities Department may cost share construction or replacement of pipe between the right-of-way and the public sewer pipe. Please contact us at 540-434-9959 to discuss the possibility and to obtain an estimate for the service.
