East Washington Street is on the City’s 2017 paving schedule, and new pavement markings will be put down after repaving operations are completed.
The Plan's overall goal is: "To present an easily communicable, comprehensive vision for the public streetscape in Downtown Harrisonburg that can be utilized by public and private agencies to further develop and sustain a vibrant downtown."
The Chicago Avenue Corridor Study focuses on Chicago Avenue from Gay Street to Mt. Clinton Pike, Mt. Clinton Pike from Lincolnshire Drive, just beyond the city line, to Virginia Avenue (VA Route 42), and Park Road and Parkwood Drive where they run through the campus of Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) and Eastern Mennonite High School (EMHS).
The City of Harrisonburg is holding a Design Public Hearing at Pleasant Valley Elementary School to inform the public about the Pleasant Valley Road Improvements Project.
The Pleasant Valley Road Improvements Project encompasses Pleasant Valley Road between 0.21 miles east of Early Road and 0.19 miles west of Greendale Road and includes the replacement of the existing bridge structure over Blacks Run.
The Design Public Hearing for the Mt. Clinton Pike Road Improvement Project will be held at Park View Mennonite Church, 1600 College Avenue, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
The Mt. Clinton Pike Road Improvement project will enhance traffic, bicyclist, and pedestrian safety.
The Harrisonburg-Rockingham Metropolitan Planning Organization will hold a public information meeting on March 26 from 5:30-7:30pm at the Rockingham County Administration Center regarding I-81 Exits 245 and 247 Interchange Alternatives Analysis Study.
The Erickson Avenue/Stone Spring Road Connection is a 3.1-mile long project corridor developed to address the needs for improved street system connectivity, provide better east to west mobility, and address deficient capacity and critical safety concerns in the southern portion of the City of Harrisonburg.
A Design Public Hearing for the Carlton Street Roundabout and Improvements Project will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 4:30pm-6:30pm at Spotswood Elementary School.
